FMC DONATES CONCRETE TO CALLOWAY CO HS
MURRAY, KY – The Federal Materials Company recently awarded Calloway County High School 50 cubic yards of concrete to complete handicap accessible restrooms and handicap accessible sidewalks leading to the Lakers baseball and softball fields.
“We are pleased that Federal Materials Company selected our project at Calloway County High School,” said Calloway County School Superintendent Steve Hoskins. “With handicap accessible ball fields, we hope to provide safety and convenience for all students, parents and members of the community who attend, play and support our athletic programs.”
This proposed project was one of four selected by Federal Materials Company under the School Concrete Donation Program. Nineteen counties were invited to participate in the program, where Federal Materials Company donates up to 50 cubic yards of concrete for new construction or renovated project needs. Schools in Livingston County, Caldwell County and Hickman County were awarded concrete donations as well.
“We support economic development in 19 counties across western Kentucky and northwest Tennessee,” said Chris Bright, president of Federal Materials Company. “We want our donation efforts to support the educational systems in these counties. Whether constructing new sites, beautifying current areas of campus or completely renovating existing concrete, we hope to provide students with better access to all amenities of their campus.”
